ELIGIBILITY
All members of the local engineering community taking the NCEES Professional Engineering Exam are eligible. Space in the program is limited and slots in the program will be assigned as follows:
Open Registration Period - Open to ALL members of the Greater Kansas City area taking the NCEES Professional Engineering Exam. SAME members will have priority basis over non-members. Following confirmation of available slot for you in the SAME sponsored program, you will be required to complete SAME membership form.

REVIEW MATERIALS
●Text - Lindeburg Manual - Free for SAME members.
●Text Reimbursement - $100 paid to individual for their purchase of text.
●Kick-off Meeting (open to anyone -
membership in SAME not required).
INFORMATIONAL KICKOFF MEETING
A kickoff meeting will be held for all individuals in this program to provide guidance in what to study, what not to study, test taking tips, what to bring, and what to expect on the day of the test. Amy Sandlin will provide insights on the exam process.

MEMBERSHIP
Non SAME Members are required to join the Society to become eligible for the sponsorship for the refresher course. Involvement in SAME committees is encouraged and attendance to at least one SAME event in the next year is required.
SAME applications can be submitted including a two-year SAME Young Member membership fee. For information on SAME membership and the application, see the Membership page or contact Ron McCutcheon and John Yacos or at membership@samekc.org.
FAQ's ABOUT THE PE REFRESHER COURSE
Q: Is this program really free? A: Yes, the online course, text reimbursement, and the kick-off meeting are at no cost to you as a member of SAME. New SAME members are required to join using the two-year membership to be eligible for the course.
Q: Why is SAME sponsoring this program? A : The primary reason is that the Greater Kansas City Post has made a commitment to furthering youth education in the local community. This program will help foster developing professional engineers and build our engineering community. We also have been fortunate to gain membership with this program.
Q: SAME is providing me a great value, what can I do to give back to the organization? Attend at least one SAME event and\or Contact Jerry Adams, Post President to discuss SAME committee involvement. The post has small and large tasks that need energetic volunteers.
